About two weeks ago, I tried my hand at concert photography after swearing it off several years ago. There were a few reasons for putting a hard stop in place.
Phone camera quality has always been shitty, in my past experience.
Lighting is always shitty.
I’d rather not be engaged with any form of technology while enjoying the moment.
Now that I have a new(ish) phone, I decided to give it another go as I continue to push the boundaries of my own photography. After playing around with what I captured in Luminar Neo, I’m finally ready to share the results.
Will I ever take photos at a concert again? Only time will tell.
I will say, however, that I enjoyed having a batch of photos like this—photos that were perfect for exercising creative license. It made me realize how I could potentially apply certain techniques to my work in the future. Given how this may help me continue to push the boundaries of my photography, I’d say the experiment was a success.
(But please go easy on me!)
