An update on my latest works-in-progress when notable Strides have been made.
This week, I made significant progress on the drawing front. I’m working on packaging a few sketches for a gift exchange event at the end of the month.
I like the idea of giving away my work to other people. I’ve always felt uncomfortable selling my art, which is probably why I’ve only sold a handful of pieces throughout my life. The way I see it is I didn’t ask to be an artist — I only create because, otherwise, this stuff would ooze out of my brain.
I’m just grateful that others appreciate it so much that they want to take it off my hands. Why would my first instinct be to profit from it?
I’ve got at least two more of these babies (hopefully more) to pump out before the event. Wish me luck.
I also need to get in more practice for my upcoming live online DJ show on April 27. I now have two practice runs under my belt, and let’s just say I could use a few more.
I’m good for it, though. Promise.
