Strides: March 7, 2025
"I can see the end, but it hasn't happened yet"
An update on my latest works-in-progress when notable Strides have been made.
It’s been a minute, and there many reasons for that, which I will get into in more detail once things settle down. For now, though, I hope you’ll take this update…in stride (Get it?).
This week, I [somehow!] managed to make some progress on the wolf dissection drawing. Here are the results of the first evening I spent on it (about a half hour or so).
On the second evening in which I had free time, I focused on cross-hatching and shading now that I feel like I have enough of the primary structure of the piece complete.
Truthfully, this has felt like a brutal lesson in perspective, and I almost can’t wait to finish the drawing. We’ll see what happens between now and next week, but I’m leaning a bit more toward photog and music at the moment. Stay tuned.
