An update on my latest works-in-progress when notable Strides have been made.
I wish I had more to report on, but I wasn’t here (mentally) last week. When I did check back in, I made some strides on the acrylic painting I started. I finally took a dive into the jar of impasto I bought for this project.
I’m feeling good about it so far. I also bought a hot glue gun, but I don’t want to reveal how I’ll be using it on the painting just yet. I will say, though, that the clues you need to figure it out have been scattered across this Substack.
Other than that, I’m playing around with a set list (WIP) that I intend to use for my next online live DJ show. I haven’t nailed down a date yet, however, so I’ve been trying to keep everything on the DL (shhh!) for the time being. You’ll be the first to know if you subscribe because I’m going to prioritize Substack for the announcement (just saying).
I did write another poem for the practice notebook I started. This was written as I was coming out of some of my darkest hours, and I chose to use the cethramtu rannaigechta moire format, which hails from Ireland. Comprised of quatrains (four-line stanzas), all of the lines have three syllables. The ends of the second and fourth lines lines rhyme.
Signing off for now. Be well.
