I’m always delightfully surprised at how much I’ve done1 over the course of the month when I look back on the photos I’ve taken on my little Nikon Coolpix L19.
There was still a decent amount of snow to get through at the beginning of April.
I think we’re finally out of the woods in that respect, though.
I made my first trip up to Boulder, Colorado, this month. It was the definition of a college town, but that’s not to say it didn’t have plenty to offer. I went to a fantastic bookstore that rivaled The Strand in New York City and enjoyed a flight of bourbon at a local whiskey distillery.

I continued exploring Denver this month, too. One of the places I checked out was the botanical garden, which was massive. I want to make it a point to go back when more plants are in bloom.
I’ve also finally started a list of local Mexican bars with decent margaritas. I intend to fill this out as the warm weather rolls on, so you may very well continue to see food and drink photos here.
May is the month of my birthday, so I might actually need to practice some restraint to make sure I don’t take too many photos. Check back here on the last Thursday of the month to see how I celebrated.
By that, I mean leave the house.
